Quality Control

ATC stands for All Technical under Control.
Quality control is a major part of our existence in this industry. Our well trained graders are responsible for the total quality during process from beginning till end. Each grader is having many years of experience in the wood processing industry and is present on the working floor every day.

All graders have their own set of quality control tools. We use the moisture content equipment of Brookhuis, which are recommended by TNO and SHR.

Depending on which stadium of production process we are, quality control is done per piece in the beginning and random checks during process and at the end.

We focus on the following:
  • Quality of the wood
  • Size
  • Moisture content
  • Finishing
  • Packaging

Own testing laboratory
From January 2007 ATC has its own laboratory. The increase of delivering value added products like application of a painting systems on a product and products laminated and or fingerjointed require extensive quality checks. In this laboratory we have among others test ovens and waterbaths with temperature regulation available.

Quality administration
For ATC’s quality control system we have set the KOMO standards as our minimum requirement . Each shipment of products with a painting application and or fingerjoint and or lamination is tested conform the KOMO guide lines. All products have to pass these tests. A copy of this test report can be part of the shipping documents.
